Meadowvale Conservation Area
This Conservation Area is not only the home of the Credit Valley Conservation head office, it is also home to unique natural, cultural and recreational resources. The Credit River meanders through the property and the Glassford Trail takes visitors along its banks and through its floodplain. Keep an eye out for birds of prey in the fields nearby as they search for rodent and song bird meals. If you look closely enough along sections of trail, you may see remnants of early settlement with mill and farm ruins still visible. The village nearby is an Ontario Heritage site.
Much of the property, including the whole east side of the river, is managed by the City of Mississauga . The Culham Trail is a City of Mississauga trail that travels through the property and connects many parks and neighbourhoods. The east side of the property has picnic and group area rentals. Limehouse Conservation Area
A visit to Limehouse Conservation Area is an opportunity to experience the natural wonders of the Niagara Escarptment as well as the cultural heritage of its past. The Bruce Trail and its side trails take visitors through a variety of Escarpment landscapes and even into its geological heart at an area known as the "Hole in the Wall", where ladders cut through fissures in the escarpment rock.
Trails also take visitors past remnants of the Lime industry where they can stand before huge Lime kilns and associated features like an old powderhouse. These cultural heritage resources of the 1800's are representative of an important part of Ontario 's past associated with the Niagara Escarpment resources.
Protection of Historic Features
A community project is underway to protect the deteriorating historic features of Limehouse CA . Your assistance is required. For your safety, please remain on the designated Bruce Trail or side trail at all times and obey all signs and fencing throughout the property. Credit Valley Conservation has installed and re-opened the bridge over Black Creek at Limehouse and the Bruce Trail has been re-routed accordingly, taking the visitor past unique natural and cultural features. Thank you for all your patience and cooperation during this process.

Silver Creek Conservation Area
Vehicle access from Town of Halton Hills 9 th Line and Falling Brook Trail (27 th Sideroad). Trail access from Terra Cotta Conservation Area.
Silver Creek Conservation Area is CVC's largest land holding and protects many significant natural features including the headwaters of Silver Creek, a Credit river tributary. This Area includes a large Escarpment valley and many representative features of the areas natural splendor. Wander past babbling brooks, lush forests, and Escarpment rocks as you explore this little taste of wilderness nearby urban and rural settings.
This trail based Conservation Area has no public facilities and it is strongly recommended that you have a copy of the Bruce Trail Reference guidebook before heading out on the trails. Always remember to plan your trip.
Conservation Areas not listed
With CVC owning and/or managing close to 60 properties in the watershed, not all of them will be promoted or have facilities for public use. These areas are protected by CVC in perpetuity for their environmental significance. Unless otherwise posted as allowing designated access (such as to the Bruce Trail ), these areas have no public access or facilities.
