Watercraft Rentals
Credit Valley Conservation now operates it's own watercraft rental program at Island Lake Conservation Area. Rentals are available from spring until the end of the fall season during regular hours.
Our "fleet" consists of:
- twelve 14-foot aluminium boats with electric motors- capacity 4 adults
- three 12-foot aluminium boats with electric motors- capacity 3 adults
- five 14-foot Jon boats with electric trolling motors - capacity 3 adults
- one double kayak - capacity 2 adults
- ten 14-foot fibreglass canoes - capacity 2 adults
- three kayaks - capacity 1 adult
Please note: CVC staff will demonstrate proper use of our watercraft and accompanying safety equipment before it is rented out.
All rentals include:
- life jacket for each boater
- boating safety kit
- oars or paddles
- anchor and rope
Canoes and kayaks may be rented by the hour or for the day. Aluminum boats may be rented for a full or half day. Call for rental times and pricing at 519-941-6329 or 1-800-367-0890.

Canoe and Kayak Storage
Island Lake also offers a gated canoe and kayak storage area. Canoe and kayak storage permits with storage agreement are valid for 12 months, from the date of purchase. The storage fee is $100.00 and you must also purchase an annual personal or vehicle pass. Click here for Annual Permit fees chart.
