Other ways you can support the Foundation
Attend our Annual Conservation Gala
Our Annual Conservation Gala Dinner & Auction, held in partnership with Conservation Halton Foundation and Trout Unlimited promises an unforgettable evening.
Raffles, door prizes, an entertaining live auction, a silent auction of unique treasures and art, good company and excellent food are to be expected!
Commemorate the life of a loved one
A gift of $40 or more will ensure the planting and tending of a young, vigorous native tree seedling in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at Island Lake Conservation Area in memory of a family member or friend. We will notify the family of your gracious gift. Tax receipts to donors.
Make an in-kind donation
CVC gratefully accepts in-kind donations. Donations of goods are needed for our Annual Ice Fishing Derby, our Fall Festival and our Annual Conservation Gala Dinner & Auction. In-kind donations support us in raising much needed funds and are eligible for a charitable tax receipt for fair market value.
Donate your land
You may feel strongly that your land should be conserved for the benefit of the environment and for future generations. For those who wish to retain ownership of their property but seek future protection of it, other techniques are possible. These may include leases, management agreements, or legal restrictions on title, such as conservation easements.
Volunteer your time
The Foundation values and recognizes the support and contribution of our volunteers. Volunteers are welcome to participate on standing committees of the board and on our “Friends of” fundraising groups, such as the Friends of Island Lake.
Make a Bequest
Create your own legacy for conservation in the Credit River watershed. As part of your estate planning, consider making a gift to the Foundation to carry on its environmental work well into the future. Credit Valley Conservation has been working hard for more than 50 years and takes the responsibility of good stewardship of the environment for future generations seriously. Your financial planner can advise you of the tax advantages to your estate when you make a gift to Credit Valley Conservation. |
