The Credit Valley Conservation Foundation would like to thank all of our 2010 Canoe the Credit partners, paddlers, sponsors and volunteers for coming out and supporting the cause on Saturday May 15th! Thanks to corporate sponsorships and participant pledges, the event raised more than $18,000 in support of the Conservation Youth Corps Program.
Among the day’s highlights was the Team Challenge, featuring teams from Delta Meadowvale Resort and Conference Centre, the City of Mississauga, George Weston Ltd., Enersource and Peel Regional Police. Despite vigorous competition, Peel Regional Police paddled their way to victory.
A special thank you is due to our 2010 Canoe the Credit Planning Committee chaired by Jim Muscat, all of our volunteers, our partners at the City of Mississauga, the Mississauga Canoe Club, The Store Mason Chandlery and Credit Valley Conservation. We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you as well to our event sponsors: George Weston Ltd., Delta Meadowvale, ADP Canada, Kagan Shastri Barristors & Solicitors and Kraft Canada.
Be sure to keep checking our website for information on the 4th Annual Canoe the Credit event in 2011!
