Integrated Monitoring Program (IMP)
In 1999 Credit Valley Conservation implemented an Integrated Monitoring Program (IMP) to help determine progress in achieving its goal of "ensuring an environmentally healthy river for economically and socially healthy communities".
The IMP focuses on a diverse range of monitoring parameters that act as indicators of ecosystem health. Integrating expertise from such disciplines as meteorology, hydrogeology, hydrology, fluvial geomorphology, water quality, and biology allows for many facets of the environment to be simultaneously analyzed.

Lands and Conservation Areas
Terra Cotta Silvercreek
Management Plan
Credit Valley Conservation has commenced
the development of a Management Plan for the
land complex entitled Terra Cotta and Silver
Creek Conservation Areas . Our Management Plan
will ensure that we can cater to both current
and future needs to meet the the challenge
of balancing the conservation of its natural
environment with the pressures of increasing
use.
Notice of Terra Cotta and Silver Creek Management Plan - Public Consultation
Open House
We are pleased to report that Credit Valley Conservation is in the process of finalizing the Terra Cotta Silver Creek Management Plan. Phase 1 - Situation Analysis Report and Phase 2 Directions Report have been completed and can be downloaded below, along with the Executive Summary for the 2007 draft Management Plan.
As a member of the surrounding community and a potential visitor, we value your feedback and invite you to our Public Consultation Open House on June 26th ,2007.

Greenlands Securement Strategy (2004)
The Greenlands Securement Strategy is a science-driven, criteria-based process that identifies significantly important conservation land. The CVC Greenlands Securement Strategy recommends at a minimum, over the next 20 years, that 5,670 hectares of greenlands within the Credit River Watershed be secured by CVC and its partners, as these lands will contribute to the foundation of a connected system that will provide natural heritage protection, appreciation and recreational benefits for healthy ecosystems and healthy communities.
This document is designed to complement regulatory and voluntary programs of CVC, and provide practical implementation of regional government and area municipal greenlands securement policies.

Sustainable
Water Management
Changes, caused by Nature
or humans, affect the health of our watershed
and our communities. CVC has been studying
the watershed for many years and we are currently
involved in a number of studies that will
help us to better assess the health of the
river and the local ecosystems.
A brief 4-page report on
our activities 1998 - 2000, called "Sustainable
Water Management" is available in a downloadable
Acrobat (.pdf) version or in hardcopy from
our office at 1255 Old Derry Road, Mississauga,
Ontario.
