2nd ANNUAL CONSERVATION GALA DINNER AND SILENT AUCTION

May 16, 2007 - The Credit Valley Conservation Foundation (CVCF) and Conservation Halton Foundation (CHF) are hosting their 2 nd Annual Conservation Gala Dinner and Auction. The event will take place on Wednesday, May 30 th , 2007 at the Rattlesnake Point Golf and Country Club at 5407 Regional Road in Milton . "We are thrilled with the response for this year's gala" said Jim Faught, CHF Chair. More than 350 distinguished guests will be attending including local mayors, politicians, business and community leaders.

Credit Valley Conservation and Halton Conservation are dedicated to protecting the environment within their respective areas and to ensure the health of wildlife, forestry and quality of the watersheds. "This commitment is important for the future of our children as we continue to balance the need for a healthy environment as well as accommodating the tremendous urban growth that our communities are currently undergoing" said Marolyn Morrison, Caledon Mayor and CVCF Chair.

The goal of our Gala is to raise more than $50,000 which will support the planting of 10,000 trees in the Credit and Halton watersheds and other environmental projects. The tree planting projects will be coordinated by staff at Credit Valley Conservation and Conservation Halton and will take place in the months following this event.

Robin Gill, Global Television anchor is Master of Ceremonies. The evening will feature a professional harpist as well as a live jazz band. The live auction will be conducted by professional auctioneer Don Stewart and will feature many excellent auction items such as a selection of Ontario VQA wines, golf packages, artwork, cottage getaway packages and much more.
