Walk of Life for Cardiac Rehabilitation
April 27, 2008 - 12:00 registration opens, 1:00 PM walk begins
Island Lake Conservation Area

A 5 km walk along the scenic Vicki Barron Trail. Registration fee of $ 15.00 includes park admission for the day, an event t-shirt, and refreshments. Participants are encouraged to collect pledges in order to raise funds for the Cardiac Wellness Program at Headwaters Health Care Centre.

Osprey / Bird Watching Hike - International Migratory Bird Day

Island Lake Conservation Area, begins at rental centre

Can you guess the correct date when Island Lake 's Ospreys will return this spring? Go to www.creditvalleycons.com and click on the Island Lake Osprey Watch page. Enter your contact information and your Osprey return date in the spaces provided. The person who entered the correct return date will win an annual Family Membership valid for Conservation Areas operated by Credit Valley Conservation.

Prizes will be awarded at a special bird watching hike at Island Lake Conservation Area lead by CVC's Education Department on International Migratory Bird Day, May 10 at 11:00 AM. Anyone interested in Ospreys and all the other birds returning to southern Ontario is welcome to attend the hike and meet this year's winner
