Landowners who wish to know more about their land and to develop a long-term plan for its management can apply for CVC's Conservation Planning Service. Financial assistance makes this service very attractive.

CVC's forester, biologist and a team of eager senior university or college students will consult with you and answer questions about your property. With you goals in mind, the student team will revisit your property and then draw up a plan to help you with the management of your property and its environmental features.

Typical plans include helpful information on:

• how your property fits into the local environment
• the plants and animals that share your land and how you can enhance their habitat
• tax incentives and programs available to you
• management options to help you achieve your goals related to forestry, ponds, trails, streams, wetlands, fish, wildlife and other resources
  

The plan also includes excellent maps and aerial photographs, plant and animal lists, community descriptions and practical "how-to" information.
